The architectural complex
of Villa Franceschi, situated in Mira, not far from Venice, dates back to the
16th century.
This villa, made by two distinct buildings, now houses a luxury hotel, where the beauty of antique
mansions encounters the functionality required by modern luxury estates.
The main building faces the placid River Brenta, by Mira Porte while the
boathouse, seems to slightly recede. Both buildings are surrounded by a 33.000
square meter secular park rich in trees and plants typical of the romantic
gardens of the 19th century .
THE BOATHOUSE
The boathouse, now a
guesthouse, was the rustic annex where the boats, tools and carriages were once
kept.
The owners decided to keep it as it was originally; through a philological
research, they combined materials like the terra cotta tiles or wood, with
fabrics and hand-crafted furniture, thus creating a lovely and cosy atmosphere.
The ground floor is composed by a large reception hall, with bar and sofas;
THE MAIN BUILDING
The villa has been immortalised by prestigious engravers like Coronelli and Costa and it still preserves the typical lines of the Venetian villas.
A private motorboat, an optional service offered by the Villa management, takes guests directly to Venice in 20/30 minutes, passing through one of the most suggestive views of the River Brenta and the Lagoon of Venice. The fine furniture, the attention to details, an impeccable service and the absolute privacy are what this elegant mansion offers to the many celebrities arriving here in search for a relaxed atmosphere and perfect privacy.
The entrance on the back leads to the hall at the noble floor, where four marvellous Junior Suites are located.
The second noble floor presents the same characteristics as the first floor, with other four Junior suites and a Hall that can easily be adapted to the needs of the illustrious guests.
Both great halls (80 sq. meters each), preserve the original Venetian shape, featuring Murano chandeliers and prestigious furniture.
The rooms face both the park or the river, have antique marble fireplaces, original ceilings with exposed beams and rare Venetian tiles pavements.
All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, mini bar, telephone, internet connection, fax, air conditioning.
Some rooms are also furnished with a Jacuzzi bath tub.
The Villa has a restaurant, a private parking area and private docking area on the Brenta river.
It is also equipped with meeting rooms capable to accommodate up to 80 people, ideal for business presentations or conferences. These rooms are frequently adapted according to the illustrious guests’ demand and tastes.
The antique “Cuisine” and the excellent, rich cellar “Cantina”, complete the picture.
The Dal Corso family, hoteliers for many generations, will professionally satisfy all requests, even the more exclusive, re-arranging their mansion according to their guests’ tastes.
