VILLA MARGHERITA

Villa Margherita is located in the municipality of Mira, on the most scenographic bend on the River Brenta, natural extension of the Grand Canal, only a few kilometres away from Venice, which can be reached in 30 minutes by boat.
A romantic lime trees path, enriched by the presence of antique statues, leads to this splendid mansion, once (1600) a guest house owned by the noble Venetian Contarini family. Today Villa Margherita is a model of Venetian “home”, where simplicity and elegance are at the guests’ service. The original complex of Villa Margherita, dating back to the 16^th century,  is flanked by a long building dated 1800, with an important portico with five arches.
Guests may have nice, relaxing moments, sitting in the fresh porch or by the many discreet indoors “conversation corners”, the hotel is provided with.
The bower and the reading room, offer precious moments of meditation and harmonious atmospheres by the fireplace, among mirrors, frescoes and plasters. Peace and harmony dominate the common spaces, from the dining room to the Venetian campiello which faces the vast park on the back of the Villa.


A private motorboat, an optional service offered by the Villa management, takes guests directly to Venice in 20/30 minutes, passing through one of the most suggestive views of the River Brenta and the Lagoon of Venice.
